She is double-Board-Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Huang comes from a medical family where father, mother, and siblings are all physicians. She received her bachelors of science degree with honors from Stanford University, where she served as president of Stanford Women’s Honorary Society. She received her medical degree from Columbia University. She was the recipient of the Columbia Alumni Association Award, an award created the year she graduated to recognize her contributions to the Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons.

Dr. Huang completed her general surgery residency at the University of California San Diego, where she honed her skills in general, abdominal, vascular, pediatric, burn, trauma, and head and neck surgery. She graduated from this highly-competitive, pyramidal program, as chief resident and received the department’s Surgical Teaching Award in 1998 for exceptional leadership in training other surgeons.

Dr. Huang returned to the west coast to complete her fellowship in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of California Los Angeles. Working alongside a world-renowned faculty, she acquired her skills in performing the most advanced techniques in minimally-invasive aesthetic facial surgery, body contouring, and state-of-the-art office procedures such as Botox® cosmetic injections, soft tissue fillers, resurfacing peels, and laser treatments.

After serving as chief resident of the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at UCLA, Dr. Huang was selected to join the UCLA clinical faculty. There she supervised the chief residents in performing the latest techniques in aesthetic surgery while maintaining a vibrant solo aesthetic surgery practice in Los Angeles.

Dr. Huang has authored chapters on aesthetic and reconstructive surgery for medical textbooks, a column for the San Gabriel Valley News, and articles for Marin moms groups (SMMC, RVMC, CMLMC, and marinmommies.com). She has been guest lecturer on the latest developments in non-invasive and minimally-invasive aesthetics at UCLA, the Stanford Professional Women’s Association, Woodlands Womens Club, and the Bay Club Marin.

Throughout her life's work in treating over 3,000 surgical patients, she has many times been named a “Top Cosmetic Surgeon” by Castle and Connolly and one of “America’s Top Surgeons” by the Consumer Research Council of America.

Dr. Huang is a consistent and longtime supporter of St. Jude Children's Hospital, Locks of Love, and US Military Services.
